1. About Warbands

Jerry Hogate operates Warbands, an unincorporated project providing online tools for gaming communities and players, including community pages, member profiles, forums, polls, recruitment applications, events, and optional Discord sign-in or announcement connections. These Terms apply when you use the Warbands website or services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, you may use Warbands only with permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account was accessed without permission. Some features require a verified email address.

3. Communities and memberships

A personal account represents a person. A community is a separate group profile managed by its owners and administrators. Community owners control membership, roles, community content, and the visibility settings available in their workspace. Submitting a recruitment application or requesting to join does not make you a member and does not grant access to private community areas. Access begins only after the applicable invitation or offer is accepted and membership is recorded.

Community owners and recruiters are responsible for using member information only for community purposes, limiting access to people who need it, and following applicable law. Warbands does not control independent decisions made by community owners.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Warbands a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, and show that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and provide the service to the audiences and communities you select. This permission ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy, backups, and records that must be retained.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and that it does not violate another person's rights or these Terms. Do not post private information about another person without a lawful reason and permission.

5. Acceptable use and moderation

You may not use Warbands to break the law, threaten or harass people, distribute malware, impersonate others, spam, interfere with the service, evade access controls, or upload content you do not have the right to use. Do not attempt to access another person's account or private community content without permission.

Community moderators and Warbands staff may review reports, restrict access, hide or remove content, or suspend accounts when reasonably needed to protect people or the service. Image uploads may be malware-scanned and checked by automated moderation before publication. You may use the available appeal or support process to ask for a review.

6. Third-party services and games

Discord sign-in, linked identities, and announcement webhooks are optional integrations. Their use is also subject to the provider's terms and privacy practices. Warbands does not ask you for or store game-account passwords. A game listing or identity field does not mean Warbands is affiliated with or endorsed by that game's publisher.

7. Beta service, availability, and fees

Warbands is provided as a beta service. Features may change, become unavailable, or be removed, and uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. The beta is currently offered without a charge and has no billing feature. If paid features are introduced, we will provide their terms and price before charging you.

8. Suspension, closure, and changes

You may stop using Warbands and request account deletion through the account privacy controls. Deletion has a 30-day grace period. Community ownership must be transferred before an account can be deleted. Some community posts and recruitment history may remain under a pseudonymous deleted-player label so community records remain coherent. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Warbands may suspend or close access for serious or repeated violations, security risks, legal requirements, or if the service is discontinued. We may update these Terms by publishing a new version. When a new version requires renewed consent, we will ask you to review and accept it before continuing to use signed-in features.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided as available and without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by law, Warbands is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the beta. Any liability limit applies only to the extent the law allows and does not affect liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without applying conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. Claims may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware where applicable law permits.
